Y’ello product is an account combining both financial and
telecommunication services as well as loyalty scheme that active MTN
customers (targeted mainly at mass market and Youths) can conveniently
subscribe to from their mobile phones in line with CBN Financial
Inclusion Strategy just by dialing *710#.
Since the launch of this innovative proposition in August 2014 –
first of its kind in Nigeria, over Six Million, Four hundred Thousand
Diamond Y’ello account has been opened through support from our partners
MTN, WWB (Women World Banking) and EFInA (Enhancing Financial
Innovation & Access).
The Diamond Y’ello App and USSD String was launched to encourage
self-serve and ease transaction processing for Diamond Y’ello Customers.
The USSD string makes self-service transactions easier at all
customer levels. The codes require neither airtime nor data for the
customer to carry out transactions such as:
