Display & Design
Infinix Note 8 comes with 6.95 inches screen display while the 8i version boasts 6.78-inch display which clearly shows that Note 8 is slightly bigger than Note 8i. Note 8 is 9mm in thickness while Note 8i is 8,9mm.
Both phones have 720 x 1640 pixels screen resolutions but coming to dimensions, Note 8 has 175.3 x 78.8 x 9 mm while Note 8i has 171.4 x 77.7 x 8.9 mm. Both phones are protected and beautified with Corning Gorilla Glass.
When it comes to design, they both look the same, at the back, we have quad-camera aligned vertically at the left side of the phone accompanied by a quad-LED flash. The two versions of Note 8 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and not the regular rear side position.
Undoubtedly, Infinix Note 8 looks beautiful, bigger and smarter, suitable for those who believe the word “bigger is better” because the phone is really big.
The winner
Infinix Note 8 is 0.17 inch bigger than Note 8i, nothing significant to brag about in this aspect.
Operating System & Processor
As some of us already know, the word operating system is abbreviated as OS while the processor also known as Central Processing Unit is abbreviated as CPU. However, both versions of Infinix Note 8 has the same Os and Processor.
The new note 8 smartphones are built on Android 10 OS accompanied by the new Infinix XOS 7.1 designed to add more features, beautify and enhance the performance of the phone. Thanks to MediaTek Helio G80 chipset designed to ensure optimum performance stability for both device.
looking at the processor, both phones are clocked with Octa-core 2.0GHz processor designed for speed, and stability. When it comes to Graphics processing unit (GPU), they are both equipped with Mali-G52 MC2.
The winner
Everything looks the same here and there is no winner, Infinix Note 8 and Note 8i has the same operating system, Processor, Chipset and Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).
Memory Size (RAM + ROM)
RAM stands for “Random Access Memory” which is the processing memory the phone needs to handle it daily task seamlessly while ROM stands for Read-Only Memory, a storage memory that allows you to download and install hundreds of apps, games and other media files such as mp3 and videos etc.
However, the new Note 8 comes with 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB ROM and support up to 2T expandable memory card. With this big memory, you already know the category which this smartphone belongs to, a high-end smartphone that has everything you need.
Note: After some research, I found out that Infinix Note 8 and Note 8i has different memory sizes between 64/128GB storage memory and 4GB/6GB RAM. When buying this phone be sure to check the memory size of the one you are buying.
The Winner
Once again everything remains the same, the only edge Note 8 has over Note 8i is that the storage memory can be extended with 2T memory while Note 8i support 512GB. So there is no much difference between the two devices when it comes to memory size.
Camera Features

The winner
Looking at the camera features above you will see that Note 8 is more superior than Note 8i in terms of camera quality. the main camera of Note 8 is 64MP while Note 8i has 48MP, then when it comes to front camera. Note 8 is the winner with dual 16MP+ 2MP while Note 8i offers single 8MP camera However, both of them are designed to produce brighter and clearer images and videos.
Battery Capacity
Infinix Note 8 is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 5200 mAh battery strong enough to keep you connected for days on standby and more than 12 hours when consistently in use. Obviously, there is nothing different between the Note 8 and Note 8i here. They both come with 5200 mAh battery capacity.
Thanks to the 18W fast charging feature added in both models which helps the phone charge faster. A 5 minutes charge will give you more than 50 minutes of power. What I find interesting is the type-C USB charging port which is far better than the old USB type.
The winner
No winner here, they both has the same battery capacity, same 18W fast charging feature and Type-C 2.0 USB charging port.
In addition, Infinix Note 8 and Note 8i support dual sim, 4G network and comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
