Nubia is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer which made waves earlier this year in March with its RedMagic 6 series. Two phones in the range included top-of-the-line hardware, including a 165Hz high refresh rate display, Snapdragon 888 SoC, and 120W fast charging capability.
The RedMagic 6R, which was a step down from the flagship RedMagic 6 series and provided a 144Hz display and 30W fast charging capabilities at a low price, was released in June. Nubia has announced the RedMagic 6S Pro, which has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888+ processor and a 165Hz high refresh rate display with a 720Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate.
The new RedMagic 6S Pro is a hybrid of the RedMagic 6 Pro and the RedMagic 6, but with a more powerful SoC. Like its predecessor, the gadget has a 6.8-inch 165Hz AMOLED display, although it’s an 8-bit screen rather than a 10-bit panel that enables an insane 720Hz touch sampling rate. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s newest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 888+, which is a slight upgrade over the Snapdragon 888 seen in previous versions. Up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage are available with the SoC.
Despite having the same 5,050mAh battery as the RedMagic 6 Pro, the RedMagic 6S Pro supports 66W wired fast charging, much like the standard RedMagic 6. Unfortunately, the gadget will come with a 30W charging brick. If you want to use the maximum charging capacity, you’ll need to upgrade to a 66W charging brick.

You’d expect the RedMagic 6S Pro to grow hot under load with this much over-the-top technology. However, Nubia has included a powerful cooling system to keep temperatures down. The gadget is equipped with a phase change material (PCM) cooling mechanism that effectively removes heat from the components. The heat is subsequently dissipated by a built-in turbofan, preventing overheating during lengthy gaming sessions. A giant copper foil on the battery, a vapor chamber (VC) underneath the motherboard, and a large graphite sheet adjacent to the VC is also included in the RedMagic 6S Pro. This cooling device, according to Nubia, may minimize average temperature rise by 9%.

To please gamers, Nubia has incorporated a slew of extra features on the RedMagic 6S Pro. The Nubia RedMagic 6S Pro also has an in-display fingerprint scanner that can also be used as a heart rate sensor and Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. The smartphone is powered by RedMagic OS 4.0, which is based on Android 11.

Availability & Pricing
The Nubia RedMagic 6S Pro comes in two color options: Cyborg and Ghost. The Ghost colorway has a translucent back panel, while the Cyborg colorway has a black rear panel. Starting September 27th, the gadget will be available for purchase on Nubia’s website. The cost is as follows:
