In China, the Xiaomi CIVI 1S was unveiled in April. When it was first released in September, it was an improved version of the Xiaomi CIVI. The Xiaomi CIVI 2 smartphone may be under development by the Chinese company. Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster, has revealed what looks to be the CIVI 2’s essential details.
According to the source, the smartphone’s screen would feature a curved edge and ultra-thin bezels. In addition to the FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and an under-display fingerprint scanner, the screen will also support Dolby Atmos.
The SM 74XX processor, which looks to be the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform, is said to be powering it, according to the leak. A 67W quick charging capability is mentioned in the leak but no specifics on the battery size have been provided.
According to the leak, there are new cameras on the front and back of the phone, but no other information is provided. In the end, it will be equipped with a thing and a tiny chassis. The gadget is now being tested in China by the business, indicating that it will be available soon.
It’s possible that Xiaomi may introduce its successor to the CIVI in September 2021, as it did with the first model. Originally, the phone was only available in China since it was designed for women. This means that the CIVI 2 will probably not be available outside of China from the manufacturer.
Xiaomi’s CIVI 1S and CIVI both offer similar characteristics, including a 6.55-inch FHD+ 90Hz OLED display, a 32MP front camera, a 64MP (main) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP macro camera, and a 4,500mAh battery with 55W charging. It has the Snapdragon 778G SoC, however, the CIVI 1S has the Snapdragon 778G Plus SoC.
One of the modifications will be the SoC, and the other will be MIUI 13, which will most likely run on top of Android 12. The charging, cameras, displays, and fast-charging speeds are all the same, as is everything else. So, it’s not shocking to hear that Xiaomi will stick with the current aesthetic as well.
There is a 20% increase in CPU and GPU performance on the Snapdragon 778G+ compared to the non-Plus variant. Even while we expect the Civi 2 to outperform its predecessor in terms of performance, we anticipate the battery will only be somewhat affected by the device’s improvements as a whole.
