A 4K selfie camera update for the Google Pixel 7 has been leaked. In one of Google’s applications, a camera update for the basic edition of the Pixel 7 may have been discovered. And this might be good news for those who wish to save money by not going professional.
For the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro, 9to5Google uncovered hints of 4K selfie video recording in the cocent Google Camera app update. Code this was originally only available on the Pixel 6 Pro, but the code expressly refers to both forthcoming variants.
Although the code does not offer any information on the Pixel 6’s hardware, its ability to record 4K video might suggest that its 8MP front-facing camera sensor could be replaced with an 11.1MP one from the Pro model. However, no such rumors have surfaced yet.
However, we’ve heard the opposite: that the cameras on the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro would remain unchanged from their predecessors of the year before. However, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro may still be able to clinch their place on our list of the best camera phones.
If you’re looking to save money, the lower-end Pixel 7 model’s front camera’s ability to shoot high-resolution video might be ideal. Users who wish to upgrade to the Pro model may find it annoying because they have to share one function with everyone else.
Additionally, a new Google Tensor chip is expected to power the Pixel 7’s front camera, which is expected to be dubbed the Tensor 2.
The Pixel 7’s display on the Pro model might become brighter, and the phone’s overall size could shrink from 6.4 inches to 6.3 inches. Another change we observed at Google I/O was the back camera bar’s new glass coverings over the lenses, which bring emphasis to the smartphone’s photographic technology.
This year’s Pixel 7 is expected to ship in October so Google will fill in the spec sheet’s missing information. While writing, you can learn more about the Google Pixel 7 at our dedicated center.
