On Tuesday, MultiChoice Nigeria announced an increase in the cost of its DStv and GOtv subscriptions. Customers were informed via text message that the higher tariffs would go into effect on May 1, 2023.
The pay TV provider justified the price increase by citing increases in the cost of doing business. Your DStv monthly subscription (premium) will increase to N24,500 on May 1. Ensure you’re active by April 30 to keep your former rate of N21,000 for up to a year.
As a result of the recent rate increase, it is reasonable to assume that the monthly cost of the Compact+ bouquet would increase from N14,250 to N16,600. Subscribing to the Compact bouquet will now cost N10,500, up from N9,000, while the Confam bundle would increase in price from N5,300 to N6,200.
Viewers of the DStv Yanga and Padi packages will now pay N3,500 and N2,500, up from the previous prices of N2,950 and N2,150. Meanwhile, the price of the GOtv Supa package has increased to N6,400 from N5,500, while the price of GOtv Max has increased to N4,850 from N4,150.
