Infinix Hot 20i Review

The key features might have shown you the basic features of this phone and it’s time to discuss more about it to know if has all the features you need in a smartphone phone.

Display & Design

Looking at this phone reminds me of my old Infinix Hot 8 they both offer similar features but the new Hot offers more advanced features. The phone comes with TFT 6.6 inch, 500nit high-brightness display. Specifically, The screen resolution is 720×1612 while the dimensions are 164.80×76.40×8.75mm and have 195g in terms of weight.

As for the design, the phone looks appealing to the eyes and fits perfectly in your hands. Looking at the front it has a waterdrop notch display which gives room for the front selfie camera positioned in the top centre of the phone. At the back of the phone, we have triple camera configurations aligned at the top left-hand side together with the fingerprint sensor in the top middle, however, there are 4 colours (Wilderness black, Luna Blue, Energy green and Sunset Gold) to choose from when buying the Infinix Hot 20i

Operating System

Infinix Hot 20i is built on Android 12 operating systems together with Infinix XOS 10.6 which is one of the most recent Android Os. Get ready to explore your world with the latest Google innovation. You also enjoy unlimited access to the Google play store where you can download your favourite Apps and Games in one click.

As for the CPU, the phone is powered by Octa-core Processor together with the PowerVR GE8320 graphic processor. Expect great performance from Infinix Hot 20i.

Memory

When it comes to storage memory and processing RAM, there are different versions of the phones, is either go for the one with 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM or you go for the 3GB + 64GB variant. The price of Infinix Hot 20i also differs based on the memory sizes.

However, the good news about this phone is that has a memory fusion function that allows you to increase the volume and capacity of the phone’s RAM to up to 7GB which gives the phone more power to function better. On the other hand, you can increase the storage memory using an external SD card up to 512GB.

Camera

The Hot 20i has a triple rear camera setup with a dual LED flashlight while in the front it has a single camera setup with a single LED flashlight. Specifically, the main camera at the back of the phone is 13MP followed by 2MP and a QVGA camera. In the front, we have 8MP ready to bring out the real beauty in you.

However, I wouldn’t say that Infinix Hot 20i has the best camera configurations when compared to other low and mid-range smartphones but it’s still good enough if your main reason for buying the phone is not centered on the camera quality features.

Battery

I wasn’t expecting anything special or new here, Infinix mobile phones always come with a 5000 mAh battery and the new Hot 20i is not left out. If you have used an Infinix phone with a 5000 mAh battery then expect the same power capacity though, there are some optimisations that can help the battery of Hot 20i last longer than usual.

The new power usage management system implemented in modern smartphones helps them to hold more power and only channel the power usage where it matters. Another good news is that the Infinix Hot 20i comes with 10W fast charging and 5W reverse fast charging features that help the phone charge a bit faster. Note: that it doesn’t have Type-c charging port but microUSB 2.0, OTG
